An Introduction

Look up the phrase “full circle” and my name will be listed there. Coming to the GM spot here at the beginning of June closes a circuitous route since I originally came to Charlottesville in the summer of 1999 to manage these very stations, then just purchased by Clear Channel. 

After leaving in 2001, I embarked on a career of teaching and training. For the next 9 years I traveled the country conducting seminars on marketing and advertising for owners and managers of small businesses. I also taught classes to the general public on leadership and management through Fred Pryor/CareerTrack, and did some social media marketing consulting. I’ve talked and trained in markets as diverse and widely spread as Bellingham, Washington to Sioux Falls, South Dakota to Lansing, Michigan to Norwich, Connecticut. But being in Charlottesville and leading the team at these stations is where I’ve only ever wanted to be! So it’s good to be back.

Before coming to Charlottesville, I was in radio in Winchester for 15 years at a leading country station doing everything from Afternoon DJ to Sales to General Manager.  Before that, my broadcasting career got started at various stations in the Harrisonburg area during my college years at James Madison University.

Personally, I’m a dad who enjoys tennis, wine-tasting, comedians, UVA football, Caps hockey, and teaching and learning.
