Country Cares for St. Jude Kids®

Country Cares for St. Jude Kids is one of the most successful radio fundraising events in America.  Since the program began in 1989, more than 200 radio stations across the country have raised more than $385 million in pledges for the children of St. Jude. 

This year, HitKicker 99.7 Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon will be February 24 and 25. Our live broadcast will be a collection of St. Jude patient stories and country celebrity vignettes, local patient appearances and exciting radio programming to help increase awareness and raise funds to support the hospital’s lifesaving work.  Since our first event, our Radiothon has raised over $800,000 for the kids of St. Jude.
 
Why become a partner of HitKicker 99.7 Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon?
Our Radiothon partners play an important role in the success of our event. Thanks to their support, we are able to expand our fundraising efforts for St. Jude. In addition, there are several ways that our partners can benefit from sponsoring the Radiothon. 
 
• WCYK conducted our first Radiothon in 1999. Since that time, the WCYK listeners have become very passionate for the kids at St. Jude. By becoming a Radiothon partner, there will be opportunities to educate our listeners that your organization also shares their passion for St. Jude. From this educational effort, we can help create a connection between your business and our listeners. In fact, from the 2010 Cone Cause Evolution Study, a report detailing how consumers react to companies supporting a cause, it states that 61 percent of Americans would be willing to try a new brand or one unfamiliar to them if they knew the product supports a cause they care about.
 
• Supporting a charitable event can excite and motivate employees. A sponsorship opportunity can be created to include an employee fundraising activity, or have a chance for employees to be phone volunteers during the Radiothon.
 
• The Cone study also describes that 79 percent of employees who are involved with their company’s cause program have a strong sense of loyalty to their company.
 
• Every organization wants to be perceived as a great corporate citizen. By becoming a partner of  WCYK Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon, opportunities are available to showcase your involvement on air, on the Web, in emails, and at your locations.

• As also explained in the Cone study, 85 percent of Americans have a more positive image of a company when it supports a cause they care about.
